Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a Data Engineer for a role at FBI Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The role is 100% Onsite.
Job Description:
- Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application, including developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software
- Facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies
- Establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from structured and semi-structured data streams
- Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set operations, programming, and security standards
- Design and construct large relational databases
- Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance and functionality
Required Qualifications:
- The candidate must have an active TOP SECRET clearance and be able to obtain SCI eligibility.
- 8+ years of experience in building and managing data pipelines
- Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Java
- Strong experience with Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Flink
- Skilled in ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, and Airflow for data pipeline orchestration
- Expertise in both relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experience with cloud tools such as AWS (S3, Redshift) and occasionally Azure Databricks for handling data in the cloud
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of Experience
Additional Benefits Information:
- Salary range is $95,000 to $125,000 per year.
- Standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary. Also provided: 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee.
- In addition, the company will cover 50% of health and dental insurance only for all full-time employees; however, dependents can be added at extra cost.
- The employee's health and dental coverage becomes effective after 30 days or the first of the month after completing the initial 30 working days. The client covers 50% of the employee's health and dental insurance.
- An employee must finish all of the paperwork for health and dental in the first 30 days of your employment. We provide STD, LTD, and one-time salary equivalent of life insurance at NO cost to all full-time employees.
- All full-time employees or W-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in the company's 401k program after 90 days of employment, with a company match of 4% and immediate vesting. In addition, all W-2 employees are eligible to participate in the company's profit sharing; no employee contributions are required.
- No Parking and Commuting expenses are reimbursed.
